Reception had a great time being Palaeontologists during their fossil dig on Wednesday! They carefully swept away sand with their brushes to reveal the fossils of carnivores, herbivores, plants and fish. They then had the tricky job of identifying which dinosaur the fossil came from. They learned to tell the difference between claws and teeth and they also uncovered a triceratops horn, an allosaurus skull and a giant footprint! In the afternoon they received a surprise visit from a baby triceratops, a baby raptor and a huge T-Rex called Sophie! Well done children for your excellent behaviour and thanks again to the William Alvey PTA for their kind contribution towards the cost of the visit.
