Possible school re-opening

Possible partial school opening: an overview to help you plan

Following Government advice we are planning to open to all Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 children on Monday 1st June. We will be following their re-opening guidelines and safety procedures detailed in the publication:…/coronavirus-covid-19-implementing-prot…

We want to make it as safe as we possibly can for the children, staff and parents. We will put forward a comprehensive list of our adopted procedures when we have considered all risk factors. We thought an overview might help you at the moment, if you are planning to send your child(ren) back:

Reception drop off: 8.45am
Key worker drop off: 9.00am
Year 1 drop off: 9.15am
Year 6 drop off : 9.30am

One parent per child at drop off/pick up
Separate entrances
15 children in each class, taught by the same teacher and teaching assistant each day -this does mean half the children will not get their classteacher or classroom and may not be with their friends
Pack up for all children (no lunches provided) bags to stay in class
Staggered break times with each class of 15 playing in a designated area
Hand washing before leaving or entering the classroom.
One way system around school
Some staff will choose to wear PPE

Reception pick up: 2.45pm
Year 1 pick up: 3.00pm
Year 6 end of day: 3.15 pm
Key worker end of the day/pick up: 3.30pm
Please note Sleaford Day Nursery are still running a breakfast and after school club

We know there are many unanswered question but this gives you a starting point to organise child care arrangements at the start and the end of the day if you are considering a return to school, there is no pressure to do so, you know your child(ren) best so you can make that decision (work packs will be sent home which will last until the end of the summer term). We will provide more details before the half term holiday.
