This 'Guinea Pig Club' patch was given to servicemen, generally in the RAF, who received plastic surgery in 'The Sty' at the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead during WW2. At the start of the war, Orchard House, in Rauceby was also involved in developing these pioneering techniques for treating burns. We were hoping someone might be able to embroider a replica badge for us?
Then we got to thinking that if you could embroider a 'Guinea Pig Club' patch, you might be able to help us with a 'Goldfish Club' patch? Mr Blinkhorn our Head Teacher in 1967 was awarded membership of this club in 1944. We would love a replica patch.
