We were recently inspected by SIAMS (Church School) in November 2025 where they concluded we are meeting our obligations as a Church School, describing the Alvey as “warm and welcoming” and a place where “pupils grow together, encouraging them to be aspirational.” Please click on the attachments below for the full report.

Key Stage 2
Reading, Writing and Maths Expected Standard

Out of 94 Y6 pupils, 71.3% achieved the EXS standard in all three subjects of reading, writing and maths, a total of 67 pupils.

This is 9.3% higher than the national average of 62%.

This puts us in 33rd percentile when compared to all schools nationally.
Reading, Writing and Maths Higher Standard (GDS)

18.1% achieved the higher standard of Greater Depth in RWM, a total of 17 pupils. This is 10% higher than the national average of 8.1% which is the equivalent of 9 more pupils achieving the higher standard than the national average.

This means we are in the 11th percentile when compared to schools nationally.
Reading

Out of 94 pupils, 81.9% met the expected standard of reading at the end of KS2. This is 7.1% higher than the national average which was 74.8%.

36.2% of our pupils achieved the higher standard (greater depth) in reading. This is a total of 34 pupils. This is 3.3% higher than the national average of 32.9%.

Our school has an average scaled score of 105.6 in reading based on a cohort of 94 pupils at the end of Key Stage 2.
Writing

86.2% of pupils achieved the expected standard in writing, a total of 81 pupils. The school’s percentage is 14.3% higher than the national average of 71.9% which the equivalent of 13 more pupils achieving the expected standard than the national average.

23 out of 94 pupils achieved the higher standard in writing - 24.5%. This is 12% higher than the national average of 12.5%.
Maths

76.6% of our pupils achieved the expected standard in maths - a total of 72 pupils. The national average of pupils achieving the expected standard in maths is 74% therefore our school achieved 2.6% higher than the national average.

37.2% of our pupils achieved the higher standard (greater depth) in maths. This is a total of 35 pupils. Our pupils achieved 11.2% higher than the national average of 26%.

Our average scaled score of 106.0 in maths is based on a cohort of 94 pupils at the end of Key Stage 2.
Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling

87.2% of our pupils achieved the expected standard in GPS - a total of 82 pupils. This is 14.9% higher than the national average of 73.2%.
